Presentation Formats and Time Allocation
Oral Presentations
Oral presentations are offered in two formats:
Full Talks
- Total time: 10 minutes
- The total time may be used entirely for the presentation; however, speakers are encouraged to reserve 1–3 minutes for questions and discussion.
Recommended structure for full talks
- Brief introduction and research question (context and relevance)
- Clear statement of objectives or hypotheses
- Key methods (focused on what is essential to understand the results)
- Main results and interpretation
- Short conclusion with take-home message and outlook
Short Talks
- Total time: 7 minutes
- The total time may be used entirely for the presentation; however, speakers are encouraged to reserve 1–2 minutes for questions and discussion.
Recommended structure for short talks
- Very brief context and motivation (1 slide)
- One clear question, method, or result
- Main finding or message
- Single concluding slide with take-home message
Time limits will be strictly enforced by the session chairs. Speakers exceeding their allocated time may be cut off to ensure a fair and smoothly running programme.
Presentation Files and Technical Requirements
- Accepted formats: PDF only (
.pdf) - Presentations must be clearly readable on large screens.
- All oral presenters are asked to:
- Upload their presentation in advance using the form below
- Bring a backup copy on a USB drive to the conference
Slide Upload
Please upload your slides using the link below no later than Monday, 15 June 2026 (two days before the conference):
File Naming Convention
Please name your file using the following format:
NPBC2026_[SessionNumber]_[LastName]_[FirstName].[ext]

Poster Presentations
Poster presentations are an integral part of NPBC 2026 and are designed to provide high visibility and ample opportunity for discussion.
- Poster format: A0, portrait (84.1 × 118.9 cm; width × height)
- Language: English
- Posters must be printed in advance (no on-site printing service will be available).
- Mounting: Posters must be mounted using tape only. Pins, staples, velcro, and adhesive hooks are not permitted. Tape will be available at the conference.
There will be two dedicated poster sessions, scheduled to overlap with extended coffee breaks, ensuring excellent visibility and sufficient time for interaction with conference participants.
- Poster session 1: Thursday 18 June, 15:00–16:00 (Foyer)
- Poster session 2: Friday 19 June, 10:15–10:45 (Foyer)
Poster presenters are kindly asked to be present at their poster during the assigned session(s).
Posters should be put up at the start of the conference on Thursday morning and may be taken down after the Friday poster session.
